Welcome to The Prescribing Guide for Hawaii
We know that medications can be expensive for many people.
Our goal is to help Hawaii’s providers know how much a drug will cost
or whether it’s covered by insurance.
The PRESCRIBING GUIDE
summarizes formulary coverage for health plans and retail prices for over 15 commonly prescribed
drug classes.
Over 250 community doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in Hawaii
have been using our free Prescribing Guide since we started the project in mid
2007. We are supported by the Univ. of Hawaii Dept. of Family Medicine
and Community Health and the non-profit Pacific Health Research Institute.
